Contractual

Our commitments

These are not marketing statements. Each one is a term of every society's contract, and each change to this document is versioned, dated and notified to every society in writing before it takes effect. If we ever break one of these, you have a document to point at.

The terms

  1. Subscription is our only revenue. We will not earn money from advertising, sponsored placements, partner offers, lead generation, or the sale or brokerage of any data about residents, staff or visitors.
  2. No biometrics. We will not collect fingerprints, face scans or any other biometric identifier from residents, staff, guards or visitors, and we will not build a configuration that lets a society enable it.
  3. No public scoring of people. We will not build ratings, scores, rankings or leaderboards of workers, guards or residents, whether visible to a society or to a household other than the one that wrote the note.
  4. No engagement optimisation. Notification priority ceilings and quiet hours are platform behaviour. We will not send a notification whose purpose is to increase use of the app.
  5. Tenants are full residents. A tenant's account is not administered by their landlord, and an owner cannot see the visitor or staff records of a household renting their property.
  6. The gate is not a debt-collection tool. Access will not be withheld from any person because of money owed by a household. Restrictions require a written policy, recorded evidence, notice to the person and a right of appeal.
  7. Exit without friction. Residents may export their data and delete their account themselves, immediately, without committee approval. A society may export its full dataset at any time in a documented format.
  8. No third-party tracking on our website or in our apps. Including this page.

How this document can change

Clarifications and additions may be published at any time. A change that weakens a term requires ninety days' written notice to every society under contract, and any society may terminate without penalty within that period. Superseded versions stay published below — we do not edit history.
