Switching

You already have an app. Here is what changing costs you.

Almost every society we talk to is on something already, and the fear is not price — it is the fortnight of chaos at the gate. So this page is the mechanics, not the pitch: what we need from you, what we do, what your residents see, and what genuinely gets worse before it gets better.

  1. DAY 1–3 · YOUR SIDE

Send us the flat and resident list

A spreadsheet from your current vendor, or the society's own register. Flat number, owner, tenant if any, one phone number each. If your vendor will not export, they are legally obliged to on the society's request — we will give you the wording to ask.

  2. DAY 4–5 · OUR SIDE

    We import and you check

We load the register, set up your gates and roles, and send the committee a proof sheet: every flat, every resident, every guard account. You correct it before a single resident is invited.

  3. DAY 6 · THE GATE

Guards train for half a day, on shift

On site, in the language the guards actually speak, on the tablet they will actually use. Both systems run side by side for the first week so no visitor is ever stuck at a gate because of us.

  4. DAY 7 · RESIDENTS

    One notice, not a campaign

A single message from the committee with a link and four lines of instruction. We do not send reminder sequences to your residents, and we never ask them to rate or share anything.

  5. WEEK 3 · THE OLD APP

Turn the old system off, and ask for deletion

Cancelling is not the same as deleting. We give you a written request template asking your previous vendor to erase resident data and confirm in writing — the step most societies skip.

What actually gets harder for a while

Any vendor who tells you a switch is frictionless is selling. Three things are genuinely worse for two or three weeks.

  • Residents have to install one more thing. Expect 60–70% of flats in the first week and a long tail after. Guards keep the paper register for the tail; nobody is refused entry for not having the app.
  • Your visitor history does not come with you in full. Most vendors export a flat register but not a usable gate log. We import what exists and are honest that the rest stays behind.
  • Guards dislike change on a busy shift. Two of the three complaints in week one will be about muscle memory, not the software. Training on shift, not in a classroom, is how that shortens.

Before you talk to us, talk to your committee

The kit has the resolution wording, the resident notice, the data-deletion request for your old vendor, and the questions to put to every vendor including us.
